What is Soul?

I think this is bullshit. Soul is an invented word. You have to separate invention and discovery in the first place. Theory of Gravity was a discovery that means Gravity was always there and Newton just noticed it or "discovered" it.

Soul and Mind is highly misinterpreted words used basically for explaining something the way we understand it. It is rather poetic.

We have to raise our consciousness.

Think of it. We invented it when we didn't have any idea about our existence. After figured out things we even know the inner workings of the brain, ancient words like "soul" and "living" have never left our vocabulary and now became a common place. Just like Ptolemy believed and convinced everybody with his mathematical brilliance that sun goes around the earth long before Copernicus showed a heliocentric world, and we in the 21st century still use the terms "Sun "rising and setting" as we are the center of the world.

If this is the case. "Living" is another word that has been invented. Imagine 3.8 billion years ago, when first life on the planet earth appeared.

There are many versions of hypothesis on this topic, to make it simpler we will take the best explanation. Atoms like to attract each other. Based on the natural selection, in the primeval soup, early form of natural selection was the selection of stable ones and rejection of unstable ones. Well think of those molecular machines in the primeval soup.

The earliest forms of organic molecular machines. Are they living? they are just an arrangement of atoms in a nice pattern to create a wall and protect its nucleus. The simplest form of life. But we can easily count these atoms and explain why it’s that way in pure chemistry.

Living is a misleading word to explain these chemical compositions. I can say that we are in comparison a complex form of the same thing. Living, Soul, Mind and so on are some mysterious words invented by us. I know it is comforting in a way.
