Today the television covers nearly 75% of the population. Like the radio, the television also provides us with news and other information.
This is the age of speed. Anything has to reach people in no time. The invention of the telephone and the telegraph made speedy communication possible. The teleprinter is another device that transmits messages rapidly. Fax machines and the wireless also help us in this regard.
The use of satellites in field of communication is of recent origin. Information satellites are used for this purpose. Television channels use satellites. Satellites have brought about great changes in the field of telecommunications. The wireless is used for sending messages. The army, the police and even civil authorities use this device. Thus mankind today uses a variety of communication methods
