There are innumerable stars in the sky. The large group of such stars is calles as Galaxy. We all know that our sun is also a star which belongs to Milky way Galaxy. There are thousands of such Galaxies in our Universe. There are many stars which are bigger than sun. The star which is near to our earth is sun. We are seeing in the sky with many stars these are all called as planets. As they donot emit light. They just reflect the light of sun’s light and heat falling on them.
Our solar system: Our sun has about nine planets revolving arount it. As they has satellites which are revolving around them. Jupiter is the largest of all planets and Mercury is the smallest of all planets in Size. Pluto is the forthest from the sun and Mercury is nearest to sun. The planets revolve around the sun in elliptical orbits. There are some planets called Asteroids also revolves in between these planets. These asteroids are nothing but a planet which broke up long ago. The only planet which has suitable conditions for living is Earth. As the scientists are sending rockets to other planets in search of existence of living creatures but they cannot find it. Except earth the other planets do not have favourable conditions for living. As the Mercury is very close to sun so it is very hot in the morning and very cold in the evenings. Venus is fully covered by clouds as they prevent sunlight from reaching the land. Saturn is very cold as it is covered with ice layers with thick surface. Mars is the only planet next to earth which contains some oxyger and water vapour. As scientists has some belief on some planets. Planets has two types of motion one is moving around the sun and other is spin motion. Earth revolves around the sun of 365 days it completes rotation for every 24 hours.
Satellites: For earth moon is the natural satellite. We enjoy the moon light but it does not emit light like sun. It just reflects the light falling on it from sun. Planets are having their satellites. Jupiter has sixteen satellites. Saturn has two major satellites of 21 satellites. Now a days the artificial satellites are made they are now revolving around the earth.
