With iPad, you will not file any file explorer and you have no idea where your files are stored, though they are visible but you cannot find exact locations of files in the system folder. In Windows and Android operating system, every file stays under its executable zones. Apple makes it trivial to connect each class of a file with its applications. I think it is unnecessary as it has become difficult for my parents who have apple smart phone devices. They want to share something special during my absence from native place, but they have pretty hard time in searching storage data.
Before venturing out to travel, I have to make it easy for parents to share something interesting to me when I am away from home. Being created and grew up in coastal areas, I always fond of seeing the morning sun above the sea. Of late, I am having the habit of taking landscape images from a distance. I have meant to reach to Marina beach of Chennai to capture some screen shot. Luckily, official guest house is located nearer to Triplicane area of Chennai which is closer to Marina beach. With Galaxy Camera, I have to take almost eight screen shots of continuous angles to create a wider screen shot of panoramic range. GIMP is the best free alternative to Photoshop. It is free and backed up by intense enthusiastic user community. There are numerous plug-ins are available to compensate the loss of features. If properly used plug-in of GIMP is provided with adequate batch files, it can go for miles to reach the level of Photoshop. Various professional photographers, who are not in a position to buy Photoshop elements, go for GIMP in the initial stages of their career. GIMP is open source thus attracting many enthusiastic users to build plug-ins to improve and augment its editing options.
Digital photography revolution catapults many to shoot large chunk of multimedia contents and those stay at different places of hard drive thus cluttering entire hard disc space into the dustbin of junk items. It happens with smart phone as well as with laptops. Before venturing into the journey, it is now time to clean those junk videos and images and make computer and smart phone clean of these files. Google will optimize it and replace it from my original uploaded video. It is a nice option when you are travelling to utilize cloud services from Google as it loads quickly and work nicely inside YouTube locations. Google also asks whether to make your video three dimensional. I like to agree with this. In this approach, while journey I never use third party video editing software as it will drain a laptop as well as it can create weird performance of operating system. These videos are most form of video, perhaps seen once by friends and relatives. Sometimes, in dull videos, I create screen capture of moments and then create a slide show of images and convert it to common video formats (mp4 and wmp). Still and moving images can be used to create automated slide shows. Video editing is a difficult, time consuming and expensive matters. During travelling, I like to devote some time to edit previously shooting videos. I recorded all of these to a DVD through burning software. Video editing is boring and being on a long distance journey inside a train is also boring. I prefer doing video editing, during spare times. Microsoft Movie Maker is nice software and it is free with genuine Windows software. It is heavy duty software, and it takes maximum resources and imparts heavy battery drainages. Be wary of free video editing software. There is much obtrusive video editing software which can automatically change browser settings and can install groupware along with the creative software. This can reduce processing power of computer and slows down response time of computers.
In order to break these ruined positions, especially during a journey, I prefer to use Microsoft Movie Maker, which has some good editing tools. It is slow and takes a moment to recognize videos. It has separate video conversion formats, for YouTube, face book, Android, Windows Mobiles and Apple operating systems. It is a nice software and very easy to operate than other related video conversion software. I really enjoyed editing videos on a lengthy journey. It removes bareness and also revived some of the old memories which I have captured time to time. I also experienced a feeling that I need to be able to edit videos more skill fully than in normal times at home. I am not in a position to find the reason of it, but there must be some mental side associated with the journey and outings that make editing easier and skilful. Windows Movie Maker is a program well conceived by people who are without any such lofty ambitions. In Windows 8, Microsoft has reduced video editing environment to an absolute basis. It loads quickly and most of its functionality work nicely and swiftly.
Chromecast and DTH on smart phones:
Direct to home satellite television services is now entering into the domain of smart phones. Modern smart phones have consistent battery life coupled with a wide screen. Tata Sky is first to announce a separate slim card for smart phone users which will broadcast television channels straight into your smart phone. It is another concept in India. It is an entirely different form of entertainment. User does not require an Internet connection to view channels. They need Tata Sky subscriber sim card and insert into the smart phone to see non-stop television shows on their mobile. It is a healthy kind of entertainment where the user has access to satellite television channels on the go. This concept is borrowed from Chromecast of Google. It has not yet come into India. "Chromecast" has limitations as it can only run video streaming services such as YouTube, Netflix and Google’s own Play Movies. Users have to open their account with Google Mail and then purchase movies from Google’s Play Movies. They can watch high definition videos of YouTube and for this a smart and speedier internet connection is necessary. Google "chromecast" is better with the laptop as it is easier to operate within laptop environment. India is waiting for the launch of "chormecast". I shall be first to try it out while on the road.

Before commencement of journey, my main task weeks before is to prepare and organize a music library which contains songs that can be played when I feel bored during lazy and idle waiting period of journey. Digital music collection has significant impact on our day to day living. We really like to hear the songs and want to be immersed deep within songs in order find solace and consolidation within our heart and mind. The customized digital library can easily grow to millions of songs. In India, Nokia Music, Vodafone Music is offering innovative songs on subsidized rates. I want to use fewer videos with me while travelling. I have DTH sim service and Android YouTube video application which can stream videos within seconds. YouTube has vast storage of videos and I can watch any videos at any point of time. I uploaded my favorite videos to Drop Box and Google drive. It stays in a cloud and I can play those videos any time with an internet connection. I can need all entertainment I need from the internet. Even bottled water inside the train does not fall within any guarantee of a safe and pure drinking water. There has been numerous duplicate water bottling companies, which are popping up in various sub urban centers and it continues to offer dirty waters in the name of safe drinking water. Commuters of training have hardly any such liberty to buy safe drinking water from anywhere, due to limited time train is waiting at the station. They cannot go beyond a certain point and have to rely on specific people who are in collaborating with diverse duplicate agencies are distributing contaminated waters. Apart from making social sense, it is also imparting financial sense to the people in distinctive manners, which creates consciousness within people about environmental issues which results in health hazards. Every route is awarded one number and specified bus will take you there, and most of the employees are now skilled and they are conducting conductor roles efficiently. Most of these busses run on time and always respect particular location time and people have a tendency to respect these busses. Fare of these bosses is lower than auto rickshaws. I hope one day there would be some applications on the route of city bosses that will let visitors feel at home. Many a time reading locations on these busses is not feasible as local language is understandable to me.
