Dear all,
We come across various different words and sentences in our daily life. Some times, we use certain words and sentences, without even thinking twice whether it is apt or not.

Let us discuss here, and learn to use the right phrases and sentences.

As language is for communication, it is okay to use the words as commonly understood and pronounce as most peope do. Simultaneoulsy, we may keep track of correct usage and pronunciation by carefully reading and watching TV or surfing net.

Yes, in our day-to-day life we do not use correct english while writing and speaking...

Most of us write:
"Ram is one of the best boy... "
and not
"Ram is one of the best boys.

Anothe common mistake is in the usage of I and me

"I and my brother watched the movie"
Not "Me and my brother.."
Always split.. the sentence like: "[I watched the movie... My brother watched the movie"]

Hi monoj kumar:
Can anybody please explain the difference between "I want to speak to you" and "I want to speak with you".

* I want to speak to you means that you want to call or message or chat with him.

* I want to speak with you means that you want to meet him in person and talk.

I think schooling is the correct one since it is used as a noun derived from a verb.Correct me if I am wrong.

Harish- one example I may give. many often say- 'sabse best'. Hweree 'sabse' is superfluous. In the example, 'Ram' is misspelt. This should be 'Rama'. If you add the 'aa' matra, this would be 'Ramaa'.

Difference between whether and weather.

I am sure many people are still confused between these 2 words(because I am:))
Just wanted to share one way of differentiating.

Weather has "water" in it, which usually refers to climate. So weather is climate.

So, it becomes easier to differentiate.

There are many words resembling each other but different in meaning. Only practice and keen observation can help.

Partibhan- I think the preposition 'to' is unnecessary before 'learn. So the sentence should be- 'I hope this will help me learn new words."
