#)A feedback telegram was sent to the dyer by the Lieutenant Governor of punjab which stating that "Your action is correct. Lieutenant Governor approves:"

#)A commisison called Hunter commission was formed to investigate this and dyer's reply to the Hunter commission Enquiry was"I think it quite possible that I could have dispersed the crowd without firing but they would have come back again and laughed, and I would have made, what I consider, a fool of myself."

Churchill's Statement

# Winston Churchill's statement regarding the Jallianwala Bagh was incident are

"The Indians were 'packed together so that one bullet would drive through three or four bodies'; the people 'ran madly this way and the other. When fire was directed upon the centre, they ran to the sides. The fire was then directed to the sides. Many threw themselves down on the ground, and the fire was then directed on the ground. This was continued for eight or ten minutes, and it stopped only when the ammunition had reached the point of exhaustion"

"The incident in Jallian Wala Bagh was 'an extraordinary event, a monstrous event, an event which stands in singular and sinister isolation"...Winston Churchill

#)On the 31st July, 1940, Udham Singh was hanged at Pentonville jail, London

Response from the World press Media

#)This act was praised not only by all Indians but also by the Press all over the world

#)Press all over the world remembered the story of Jallianwala Bagh and held Dyer fully responsible for the events.

#)Udham Singh was called "fighter for freedom" by The Times, London, and his action was said to be "an expression of the pent-up fury of the downtrodden Indian People".

#)Bergeret, the famous meedia from Rome, ascribed the greatest significance to the circumstance and praised Udham Singh's action as courageous.

#)Berliner Borsen Zeitung called the event "The torch of the Indian freedom"

#)The German radio repeatedly broadcast: "The cry of tormented people spoke with shots". and "Like the elephants, the Indians never forgive their enemies. They strike them down even after 20 years"

It is not being thought in the schools now a days and the present generation do not know much about all these. People are getting trapped in the evil designs of the inhouse agents of our previous foriegn invaders.
Thank you very much. Please make many series of such postings.

Hi Raghaban,
I went to Amritsar a month back. We stayed there for merely 7-8 hours and had targetted to visit three destinations: Golden Temple, Jallianwalabagh and Wagah border. It was already 3 pm after visiting golden temple and we had to reach Wagah by 4pm and so we thought of visiting Jallianwalabagh on returning from Wagah. But to our great misery and frustration, it was already closed by evening and we had to pacify ourselves only by looking at some photos. Today I was feeling very bad again for missing the chance and searched the net and reached upon your documentation. I must say it is so well-written and full of facts that I can feel the desire to visit Amritsar again, this time to visit Jallianwalabagh only.
