Lossing Points while liking an answer in Q&A answer section

It is a technical glitch. I just up voted an answer and immediately I got the message -1 points deducted for down voting the answer. I guess the functions for up vote and down vote have somehow got mixed up. Get in touch with the admin and ask him to look at it.

This seems to be a technical issue. If it is not then this would be very discouraging for the one who likes the post and one who answers the post. 

Oops im not sure if this is introduced as a new feature.. because if you have been following the discussion... you would have seen the very very long discussion and went on regarding the "likes" :):) but i hope this is just a technical issue.

Questioner is the Ultimate. If the questioner likes the answer, Questioner Votes uo. If the questioner is not satisfied with the  answer the answerer will voted down i. But losing the Points of the Questioner I never heard. .

Although I don't know what's the real matter, I support the proposal that there should not be thumbs up sign below the post. For that matter I would suggest that both thumbs up and thumbs down signs should be removed.

I am new to this forum and even I lost some points while liking some answers and the surprising part is that I got the message as I lost the point for downgrading the answer. I earlier thought that I might have pressed thumbs down by mistake as both like and dislike are adjacent to each other. But when I got it several times, I got warned and stopped. I was surprised. But now I think it is technical glitch.

That might have been a technical glitch. It has been fixed, i am sure.
