Has anyone experience wrting an article for wikipedia.org?

I have realized that there are many prominent personalities and stuff that do not have a proper article in the online encyclopedia and therefore want to know whether it is easy to write for wikipedia or not. So just want your views if you have any information about it!

A few years back I have made some corrections and added on information to wikipedia, but so far not thought of writing an article . I agree that at times the information given is not wholly correct or complete since afterll it is online members who add on information...I would say that you should go ahead and try writing one and see how it goes,It also gives one an opporyunity to become thorough on the subject you are writing about , all the best :)

I thought doing so many times over but stopped short. The information is used as authentic testimonial so I was afraid if I missed even a single point that could make a big difference.

Actually once I tried to edit a mistake in a wikipedia article.....
But they ask citations, and hence couldn't make it....
Once I tried to add an information in a table of data. But I couldn't understand its syntax and left the task unfinished.....
After that I never attempted to do so.....

No. But it seems to be straight forward and as simple as writing any article. It will get verified and then published.
