let me say my opinion:
Windows 2000 Pro + ServicePack4 + UpdateRollup1for ServicePack 4 is the best thing u ever find in a Windows 2000 environment...
Windows XP while booting, if finds any errors in harddisk, stops booting and suddenly restarts.. until and unless u insert the system disk and rectify the errors.. but thats not the case with Windows2000 Pro..
Also, Windows XP consumes tonnes and tonnes of system resources... especially memory... we need to upgrade to 256MB RAM for a decent performance also, the installation takes about 1+ GB of space.
Yeah, I agree that Windows XP SP2 is the best operating systems ever and I'm using it since september 2004 but never disappointed, crashed and formatted...
So, you can go and check End of support for Windows 98 and Windows Me[http://www.microsoft.com/windows/support/endofsupport.mspx]
Well very difficult to select. I think it depends on our usage that which Os will suit it..If you have to use advance features i think XP may not be good..For fast performance i think Windows 7 is good..otherwise XP can do.
Windows XP is the best operating system created ny Microsoft corporation. The Operating is itself a more userfriendly and supports all kinds of softwares. Though the features of higher operating system are good , when it comes to performance Windows XP rocks..
Though we can install a XP virtual machine on higher operating syatems, XP makes it way to the top as the installation of virtual machines slows the performance of the computer
I have used all the three and comparitively Window XP is good with respect to compatibility with hardware or software issues. Windows 7 is very good performance wise as it is fast and have many new features.
