I am currently using Windows 8 version. While Windows 8.1 Preview is available in the market, is it advisable to upgrade to this latest version? Will I face any stability or performances issues with the Preview edition?

Even I am using windows 7. I don't know but I guess windows 8 users should get that upgrade for free.. but not sure.
New upgrade always bring new stuff and stable version of any software. So yes it is good to go for new upgraded version if you are already using windows 8. If someone is using windows 7 and thinking for windows 8 then he/she might face big changes, so in your case i think it should be fine to go for it.
I am not yet conversant with windows-8, I have official version of the same and have option to upgrade to 8.1 free of cost but I am not yet sure about its utility. But after reading that XP will not provide its support further, I am willing to learn more about it.
