What do you think about mid day meal given to the students?

A B.A. B.Ed teacher look after the kitchen and mid day meal of students .What do you think about it?

Mid day meal scheme is good. Implementation id bad. A qualified teacher being assigned a wrong responsibility is nothing new in India. And this is one of the many typical wrong practices prevailing in the administrative practices in India.

In most schools in my state where midday meals is being given, there is a cook and an attendant to look after it and teachers only supervise the serving during lunch time...It is a boon to many poor village students who come to school and study at least because of the free food..

The scheme is good as it provides meal to poor and inspires people to send their kids to school which eventually is good for the nation's growth. But i agree the prime responsibility of teacher is to teach kids they must appoint few other people to take up the responsibility.

Mid day meal scheme is nice one. When grains are spoiled in warehouses than it is best use. In more over school government deputed cooks to cook mid day meals. I thinks nothing is wrong if teacher are doing duty of supervision.

Mid day meal scheme is good but not implemented in a proper way. Main aim of Mid Day Meal Program is to motivate children from economically weak families to pursue their education. This program also helps in reducing high incidence of disease , deaths due to lack of food and mal-nutrition in child. But due to improper implementation situation is getting worsen day by day and government is still not taking any proper action.

I would say that this is a good practice. Unless some responsible people look after the mid-day meal of the students, their meals will be stolen and sold in black markets which is a crime. Mid day meal is right of the students.

Mid day meal given to the students is always beneficial to poor students.
But teacher looks after for that, it is not good. Teacher do not waste their valuable time and stamina in it.

Miday meal seems to be aboon to poor children but in may schools I have seen the meal which is provided to kids not up to the mark.....
