Rasipuram Krishnaswami Iyer Narayanaswami or popularly known as R.K. Narayan is my favourite writer.
I like his works because of his down to earth themes and characters. In addition to this his expertise in lifting the reader bodily to the scene of action, his uncanny knack of character delineation are the two reasons for my liking of this master story teller.

My favourite Indian author is Rabindranath Tagore. His compositions were simple and easy to understand. He has written many morale stories, poems and songs which cannot be read in single life span. He has given us such a valuable gift of literature through his compositions which mankind will never forgive.

Ruskin Bond is the one I love to read apart from Khushwant Singh. Mr. Bond's style and language is very easy to understand.

My favorite author is yaddanapudi sulochana Rani. She will be a favorite to many who are romantic at heart. She depicts her stories realistically with down to earth characters and weaves a magic around us, where we would be so mesmerized that we could not put the book down.
