Missing emotions in today's movies ....Can be related to our real life?

If we see movies till 1980's, they are filled with over emotions, senti-dialogues, melodramas and tear jerking stories. What about movies of today? Controlled emotions expressed onscreen, Right? If someone cries for more than one minute, it looks funny onscreen. Is it just a new strategy to make films? Or is it because modern man, including we people are losing Emotions, EQ and bond of relationship with the society we exist?

People have become far too materialistic and more obsessed with self and so have not much scope for emotions in their life. Life has become a fast and dull routine and they have no use for any kind of emotions that could hold them back. How many efforts do we take ourselves to talk about or indulge in emotions. We are the ones who enjoy in action thrillers and blood chilling crime. Our society as a whole is changing into emotionless society so it is sure to reflect in cinemas too.

Everyone has his/her own way of thinking about his/her life. Depends how you relate with movies, I don't see any reason I will ever get effected with movies or the movies will change me a bit.

Movies that make you cry a bit too much. Personally I can relate to movies that are not melodramatic and don't over do it. Let us save our emotions for real life and not movies. There are only a handful of movies which really has the power to make you cry..one such movie is Masoom the old one and another hollywood movie 'The Lovely Bones' an adaption from the book.

It is better to say we are losing emotions. Now there is no lover like Majnoo and no beloved like Laila. Now all are practical. The girl will never be fool to fall in love with a worthless boy. Today even 'love' is more sensible, programmed and well managed. so with other relation. The modern oldie will depend more on mediclaim policy than his son. The intensity of relation is subdued. This is reflected in literature, movies and in all shades of arts.

In this fast paced modern life style emotions took a back seat.No body wants to see a tear jerker which lasts for 2 long hours. For the same reason People are interested to see a movie sitting in the comforts of their home a light stuff which lasts for a short time. Do you think Mughal-E-Azam will enjoy the same patronage that it enjoyed earlier. People are in a mad rush to be in the forefront in all spheres of life now. Emotions evaporated in the heat of Modern fast paced life.

Presently, people are self centric for this I will not blame their attitude only but the present state of living is equally responsible for it. Everyone is struggling for existence and naturally, emotion is taking a back seat while practicality is controlling the human heart. Thus, mind is ruling over the heart and the movies to some extent are the reflection of real life and therefore, it shows less emotion in it.
