I am almost three decades away from that.

For me, a milestone age of 40 meant something daunting, end of fun etc when I was a teenage. I felt 40 is too old. Now that I have crossed it recently, I am not finding anything different with me. I am still the same enthusiastic person. However, the roles and responsibilities have changed. I have receeding hairline, Borderline diabetes and other conditions which come with the age. But I am still strong and find my solace with yoga. Life in 40's seems same as it was a decade back. I can not predict future. I just wish that I have the will and wish to live life at it's best even in 70's. I hope as I love life. My grandmother stayed lively and fully engaged ( she worked voluntarily for an NGO till 85 and she died at 92). She contributed to life and society till her last breath. I hope we all get a fully engaged life till our last breath

70 is not that bad or old as it was a couple of years ago. People live a happy life with a little bit of effort and a healthy lifestyle. People in certain countries live a normal life and even plan to marry in their 70s.

The age of 70 seems to me as the age of the wise. The person would have experienced life and would have found ways to make it meaningful for themselves. It is a major milestone in ones life.

An age of 70 is it darker I don't think so. An age of 70 is the gold age where you are rich with knowledge and experiences  which you can share with future generations. You have turned 70 and you are breathing it is something to celebrate if you are also healthy then double celebration. Life is not about seeing darkness or what we have lost but it is about what we have achieved and what we can achieve. Mostly it is above living happily with a smile on your lips because it is another new day in your life.
