Most of our power generating projects are Hydro electric projects. Power is generated by water. Alternative systems are nuclear power projects. Thought he government is interested in setting up nuclear power projects, people are objecting to them because of hazards involved with them. Last year's Nuclear power project explosion in Japan scared the people all over the world including India. That's why people are opposing nuclear projects. Hydro electricity projects are rain based. If monsoon fails we face the scarcity. Government is unable to decide

Because government has no time for public related problems. They are busy in infighting and vote bank politics only. Power sector and other infrastructure should be priorities.

There are some other ways of generating electricity but that will make electricity very costly. The need for electricity is increasing days after days. Many bonds have been signed up by the Indian Government to help Bangladesh with the new hydro-electric power project, etc. Hence, the possibility of scarcity will exist.

In Gujarat, we don't feel enough problem of electricity. I live in small town of gujarat, but electricity problem is not there.

In the areas, where electricity problem is there, there government has to make plans to produce more electricity.
Solar plants are good options.
