How to control our Country Population?

Unless we introduce any rule like chinese we cannot control our population because most of the indian population are illiterates and they have to be educated.

As Devyani said above, the govt. has increased the age of marriage. Well, I feel marriage has nothing to do with giving birth to a child. We have one thread here, where we discussed about the teenage girl becoming a mother. We need to see the downsides of having more children. The problems grow with the number of kids in the family.

It is education by which people can understand the advantages of small family...though government has taken several measures to educate people...

Government has already increased the age of marriage to check population of India. Adhere to this, tax laws and other laws has been imposed to the job holders who has more than 2 kids. Welfare awareness programmes are also doing workshops to make people aware regarding the population growth of India.

After all such effective steps, Government can opt for one more step. Government can implement new law according to which parents will be punished if they give birth to more than 2 children (except the case of twin babies).

Education is only way to control population. In my district population growth is less than national growth.

Make people more educated that's the only way to control population. Although the rate with which inflation is increasing I feel that would automatically check population:)

People need to be educated about the situation and then it is up to them to do what seems right for them.

Controlling country''s population is a joint responsibility.of the people and the government. . A Male child or a female child, stop with one. In order to have a male child, producing six female children is the practice to be condemned.

Educate the people and create awareness among the public. Tell the people about the advantages of one family one child policy.
Doctors too have a role in this. After the delivery of the first child, doctors can educate the poor uneducated people.

Even now a days many families are having only two children even government need more publicity.

We shall have to forget cast system and follow China formula which is hard to do. So we shall see further increase in our population although balance would tilt in other direction.

There are advantages and disadvantages of a large family. However in present condition, disadvantages of a large family outshine the advantages. People are struggling to feed a large family. Better way to control the population is the education and understanding the benefits of small family.

Self control is the best measure with regards to the control in population. Family planning (contraceptive measures) is the efficient method.

First of all people have to understand the need for a smaller family .Also educating women is very important, Gandhiji rightly said that you educate a man you educate an individual , whereas when you educate a woman you educate an entire generation- an educated and evolved mind is able to grasp things better and understand the need for smaller families ...

Well, all people should be educated first to understand this thing. And yes all people have to go for family plan..Maximum number of kids should be 2, it is more better to have 1..
