Each era had its own best in the industry actor. Amongst the yesteryear stars, it was Dilip Kumar and Raj Kapoor, later on it was Amitabh Bachchan. Many others have vied for this title and also held it for some time, but as far as popularity and fan following goes, it is the Amitabh Bachchan. He has reached such an iconic status, that no one can ever quite reach up to his status.
Well, as you just said "movie industry" that means all the "woods" come in, like Bollywood, Tollywood, etc. I guess, Big B and Kamal Hasan are my favorites.
Kamal Hassan is the best actor in the film industry.I like his versatility and competency very much. He played various roles in this industry such as actor, director, producer, choreographer, lyrics writer, singer etc.
Best means only talent or popularity or with star quality? Amitabh bachan has all the qualities and thats why he is probably the most popular and respected actors ever. However Dilip Kumar, Balraj Sahni , Ashok Kumar and Raj Kapoor were all very good actors in their own right and had their own distinctive style of acting ...
I have no answer for this particular question because there are more than one who qualify for their abilities. Who am I to judge them for acting talents. The fact is i have not seen even fraction of 1 percent of talented actors.
There are several Movie industries in this country. If you mean, Hindi movie industry right now it's Amitabh Bachchan. And remember the adjective "Best" is not a permanent title like RaiBahadur and Padmasri. . They are relative. Today's best may not be there tomorrow. A Best Will be there for every season and every period. So the BEST will be varying from time to time.
