Qualities of groom in the present generation

Sundar, Susheel, Sukumar....... Every parents used to dream about son-in-laws of such qualities a decade ago. Now it's high tech new generation world with new requirements. I feel, no one is giving importance to groom's past even if it's criminal background. 'Money and Power' are those two qualities now everyone prefer.

let me tell you, last year in newsmedia, two persons who have been the hot topics of debate are Sreesanth (match fixing) and actor turned politician/minister, Ganesh Kumar (Extra marital affairs). No one even imagined that these two will get brides. But surprisingly within a few months, Sreesanth got married to a beautiful princess of a Royal family eventhough he doesn't belong to any royal family and Ganesh Kumar married to a rich girl with NRI status. So, is it true, now only money, popularity and power are the only elements that normal parents count?

Money, Money and Money alone can do the Magic. Even a Monkey with Money can marry a Menaka, Rambha or Tilottama. Or a Monolisa had she been real.

Sandhya Rani So, does it mean girls are fools to marry a monkey??? - Sandhya Rani - 10 years ago
rambabu Money is omnipotent. It makes all humans blind. What to talk of girls ? - rambabu - 10 years ago
Sandhya Rani Yes, days have gone when parents fully decide their kids' future. Earlier parents should compel or emotionally blackmail kids. Nw kids are more clever than parents and they c their future in everything before each and every step. New generation is more practical than emotional, both male and female. Even if they fall in love, they think it in practical way, than with mind and heart, as it was the earlier practice. - Sandhya Rani - 10 years ago
rambabu This example will clearly speak about today's smart girls They loved each other and they decided to marry. One day, the would be groom asked, 'Darling, how much dowry your father can give me?' The girls replied coolly 'that depends on your salary and perks and how much property is in your name.' - rambabu - 10 years ago

No bride or greoom can be ideal. It is mutual compatibility and liking that matters. Here I am recalled of a story of a man who waited for years looking for an ideal bride. When he found one, she was also looking for an ideal groom. Both remained single.

Sandhya Rani Money and power are just....come and go. But beauty of mind and intelligence stay forever. If you choose a partner based on his character, understanding nature and intelligence, you can conquer the whole world...money and power are only small things. There are many other beautiful things in this world we need to conquer. - Sandhya Rani - 10 years ago

Similarities in interest, in outlook, even similar jobs make an ideal partner. Money part can never be disregarded..but only a handful of people will marry only for money.

Your examples - Shreesant, maybe the princes you mentioned is not as rich as you think she is and saw the opportunity in him. And the other one Ganesh might have attracted the woman for his good quality of making many women happy at the same time. you never know what quality of a person can make him an instant success. :)
Answered
Sandhya Rani Good quality to make women happy?? Hahaha then you are absolutely wrong in Ganesh's case, because his previous wife filed case of domestic violence against him. He was caught along with their son's mother by his ex-wife Yamini last year..haha. Ganesh says, marks on his face were given by Yamini and that she beat him in front of his personal staff. He was a minister then. But it's rumoured that those marks on his face and body were given by none other than the other lady's husband.....haha Only god knows the truth. Anyhow, it was the most celebrated news of Malayalam newspapers last year in the front pages as different postures of 'wounded minister' were posted. Even chief minister tried his best to cool the conflict between two. End result, he had to resign from cabinet
