Three necessary evils that can ruin a man

Money is definitely a necessary evil. We can't live by depending on others. So we should earn money to live. But greed can ruin him. What could be two more such necessary evils that can be added in your list? You want them, but not in excess.

Money is not an evil because we need money for our existence but like you said one should have some ethics while making money .. Hunger for power is evil and can ruin a person because with it come other qualities like violence, arrogance and so on..

Money is definitely necessary for living as long as Money earning remains well within limits. You are right Greed makes a man an animal. The other evils that a man or women are Arrogance, Ignorance and harshness.

Sandhya Rani But i cant find why Arrogance, Ignorance and harshness becomes necessary evils. At any point of time I cant find them necessary.... But only evils. I want to know things that have both good and evil sides - like weapons, and we need them too, and play safe with them - Sandhya Rani - 8 years ago
rambabu I agree. Arrogance is not a necessary evil. Yet, arrogance some times must be used to Spress those who think too much of themselves. - rambabu - 8 years ago

Power and possesiveness can be another two evils.

Power to do certain thing is good but it can be used for wrong purpose as well , where it becomes evil

similarly possesiveness is good as it helps you to achieve goal in life, however certain things are not achievable by possesiveness and it become evil when a person gets too much obssesive.

Sandhya Rani yes u quote a new point, possesiveness. It's a good quality if kept in limits, otherwise can deeply harm a relationship - Sandhya Rani - 8 years ago

I would say limited amt of everything is necessary..be it love passion attitud angerr etc... it's when you cross the limit that it becomes an evil.

I would say money, power and position are all good when used in right direction for the betterment of their own standard as well as for others progress. These three will eventually turn into evil when acquired unfairly and controlled dictatorially. There is basically a thin line between these to be good or evil. It all depends upon the basic mindset of the person how to be within a limit with all the three in their favour.

Answered
Sandhya Rani very well said and apt as you told, only a thin line between those two extreme points, and people set it as per their mind set and needs - Sandhya Rani - 8 years ago

For me the three evils that ruin a man are - 1. Misuse of his power and money

2.  compromising with his inner voice/ethics for materialistic gains.

3 Ceasing to learn and adapt.
