First of all, we need to become responsible citizens, meaning we do our duties with utmost sincerity and integrity. Unless corruption is not checked, we cannot hope for any good outcomes of any policies or infrastructures that are meant for general good of the public.
Second thing and the most important one is that population be checked. Unless it happens, we can never hope to fulfil the dream of becoming a 100% literate nation that can provide employment to all the citizens. Increasing population only means that many more mouths to feed, bodies to clothe and more space for them to live. Since not all can accomplish that, majority of the population ends up living in slums where increased rates of crime prevail.
Education system needs to be revamped. Instead of mass producing scores of gradutes and postgraduates with no soft skills or employable skills whatsoever, our schools are only producing youth with degrees but they can hardly be called literate or educated, such are their miserable skills to understand or comprehend any subject!
If all these problems are addressed and solution found, then we can definitely progress as a developed nation, becoming a superpower will be a mere child's play for us then!
