It is because of the way they get discriminated by people belonging to their own religion based on caste.No wonder they want to go where they hope they will be treated better.But sadly even among Christians there is caste and it is as bad as it is among Hindus.It is based on who their forefathers were and what caste they had belonged to before they got converted during British times !!!
Maybe previously they were lured towards such things mostly as they were not aware about there strength but now they know about themselves better therefore this is limited to people in remote areas or bordering states where the missions are working overtime.
Its simple. A question of getting maximum facilities, If a religion offers some advantages over the present religion, people naturally jump in to another religion.
