Ties are actually not good for health and studies have also revealed that wearing ties for a long duration may lead to brain strokes, hence it is not at all healthy to inculcate ties as a part of school uniform in children. But then since we are so much used to aping the West blindly, we see ties in so many schools and where it is compulsory children have no other option but to wear them.

I guess it is not necessary, it can be part of School uniform but I have seen many school uniform without it too.

I think its not necessary to have a tie as a part of school uniform though I think its better for kids to be habitual of tie in childhood itself.

If the Management of the school prescribes  a dress code in which a tie is included, then it is mandatory wear a Tie.

Tie is part of formal dress. If children learn this from childhood, this is good. If schools make tie as a part of school uniform, this is compulsory.

I think its not necessary to wear ties. It will just show the professionalism. Please leave the children as they want to be.... Don't force them.

Yes, it is compulsory if tie is part of their uniform. A tie signify professional look which can become a part of life once they become professionals.
