Best National Award Winning Performance as Actor - Both Male and Female
National Awards are definitely given for outstanding performance. No one might have seen all those award winning performances. Yet from those movies seen, which actors (male and female) have really touched your heart with their performance?
I watch only Hindi, Tamil and Malayalam. So, if I take only these three languages as constraints, my vote for best award winning (male) goes for Kamal Hassan for Moonnam pira. It was later dubbed to Hindi as Sadma. Can anyone forget that heartbreaking climax scene of the movie??? Big B for Black, Mohanlal for Bharatham and Mammootty for Oru Vadakkan Veeragatha are also my favourites.
It's Shabana Azmi for Arth if it's female category. She is indeed a wonderful actress. Shobhana for Manichitrathazhu (Bhool Bhulayya/Chandramukhi - other remakes), Sharada for Thulabharam, Vidhya for Dirty picture and Suhasini for Sindubhairavi also worth mention.
