Impact of movies on present society?

You do have a point Kavya, it is not just the present but in the past too movies have greatly influenced the society. Especially, in the present day, crimes of sex and violence that occur in the society have been influenced by what is shown in the movies. For this reason, movies need to be more responsibly but that does not mean that making only mythological movies will help. Mythological movies do have an impact but they no longer hold appeal or relevance to the present time, maybe to little children, but not for everyone.

A picture is worth million words they say. That's true in the case of movies also. Yes, it's true movies have a dual effect both good and bad. Humans, especially children have the tendency to imitate.. There incidents where, children while imitating their movie idols fell prey and died. This is why, now it's mandatory  to show a warning, "Don't imitate. These feats were performed by experts.

Movies impact a lot and so the movie makers must do their job quite responsibly. By saying this I would like to add that even movie goers must also show some responsibility while choosing to watch a movie. We can see the parents take their little kids to every kind of movies which in some or the other way affects the child.Thus, we all have a responsibility towards the society so movie lovers must share some responsibility with the movie makers to make the society beautiful. The actors and actresses must also pay some attention in sending some good message. A movie can be full of fun and frolic but must be presented in good taste but nowadays some movies are made in degraded manner. The impact of movies can be fruitful or harmful both co all of us have some role to play.

Movies do have impact in life, both positive and negative, depending on the type of movie and the person who see it. Present day relevance and the presentation are the like factors. People love to watch wonders and they get it from mythological films. Nothing else. Everything is business!! 

People are highly influenced by movies and therefore there needs to be good subjects being made into movies.

It all depends on us. What we take from movies.Many thing we learn by watching videos. Children need to see thing that are not bad.

Not only movies everything we see around and experience has both good and adverse impact on us and has a bearing on how to function after experiencing things..in this case movies. But young people need to be taught and guided to accept positive things shown in movies.

I agree but this is your choice what you chose to watch as almost everyone knows what to expect in a particular movie. The problem is we watch what the producers make where as it should be they should make what the masses wishes to watch.

Surely they impact on us and yes in both ways. Good movie leaves good message for us and bad one do just reverse thing. And it affect person's behaviour too.

Movies as medium of expression not only affect the society but these also reflect the social conditions of time. Society affects movies more than the movies affect society. With social change, new themes emerge.  Now the Censor Board is more liberal on themes with adult content and nudity/ romance. This is because society today is more permissive than before.  

Movies like the media do impact the society in its own way. So, it is all he more important for both film makers and the media to be responsible since they can easily sway majority population into things that are not healthy ..

Definitely there are a certain group of people who get influenced by movies a lot. But that's not a healthy thing. We should consider movies just as an art form like Bharathantyam or Kathakali. Are we getting influenced by such dance forms? No, not at all. The reason behind the influence of movies is quite clear. Movies we watch is very nearby to our real life. Taking advantage of this thread, I want to quote that, " Films should be influenced from real life but not the viceversa".

Yes i agree with you. Movie has both god and bad impact on our life, especially on growing teenagers life. Teens intend to enact the movie actors and assume that it is a reality of life. They cannot keep movie life seperate from real personal life. Many movies spread the right message for the society, watching such movies surley make positive and good impact on our mins. While on other hands, sex, violence shown in the unrealistic way which makes bad impact or negative impact on our mind.  

Yes movies are impact the present society.but in positive way as well as in negtive way also.cinema is juSt a entertainment for the busy lifes thats it why people are take it seriously and follow them especially young generation.

Movies have both negative and positive effects on our society. Now days these movies are leaving bad effects on our society. Movies these days are full of crime scenes, molestation and abusive words, especially kids are more effected by these type of movies.
