I don't think it will be fair. But apart from religion there are people from all walks of life and their financial status too differs. So, I don't think it may happen.

We have already uniform law in commercial, taxation, civil and criminal law. The matters like marriage and inheritance depend on social customs and so these cannot be uniform for all communities.

India has always given previledge to the all religions.Hence laws are different (except the rights and duties) for all religion according to their culture. Law can never be same for all regarding this.

Well, yes it should be. But in case of religious related rules, it will be hard to implement as nobody thinks the same and have same opinion.

It would be good to have a uniform law for all citizens. But because of varied social conditions and strong rooted religious practices and beliefs, feasibility of Uniform law is not practicable.

It should be same for all but it is hardly possible to apply it in India due to multi culture society. Most of the people think that their customs are the best, nobody wants to improve or rectify their beliefs or system they are more worried about the others.

Our country would become the best country the day we shall have a single law for every one and while I say this, I include bureaucrats, politicians, self styled so called Babas etc. We need such a law immediately.

It is good if there is a common set of law for all the Indian citizens. But due to vote bank politicians are not interested in doing so.
