Android or IOS: Which is more suitable?
Right now we are having two big mobile operating systems Android and IOS from Google and Apple. Both are quite popular and getting used in all over the world. But new user which has never used any of these OS can easily get confused that which one is better and which one is more suitable for him/her. Honestly both mobile operating systems are totally different so it is hard to compare them. Both are best at their own.
As I said that it is hard to compare them, but yes one can know about which operating system is more suitable for him/her by the features and services we get. We can easily compare their features and after it you can decide that which is more suitable for you as per your requirements. So let’s talk about few facts which are related to these two big operating systems.
Which handset you will get? : If one wants to use any of these two mobile operating systems, they should at least know that which handset they will get. In the IOS there is only one series in the mobile, and its iPhone. There are few iPhone versions like iPhone 3, iPhone 3gs, iPhone 4, iPhone 4s and iPhone 5. But most of them are having the same look with different hardware specification. So you don’t have more choices of handset with IOS operating system. But let me tell you even with limited choice in handset you will found very good looking mobile phone with iPhone. On other hand if you go for Android phone you will get thousands of choices in selecting device. I mean android operating system is getting used by almost all brands of mobile companies like Samsung, HTC, Sony and many more. So you can choose any brand you like and have choice of different kind of mobile devices. So if you want to select your mobile from more verities then you will get more options from Android. But let me tell you again that iPhone is having great handset with great build. iPhone is having much more quality build up than many other branded companies.
Performance wise: Now this is for those who want great performance in all section from their mobile phone. And all the way IOS is quite better operating system as per performance wise in compare to android operating system. With IOS operating system even with the less hardware specification you will get better performance and you will never face problem like hanging. So it is plus point for the IOS operating system. On other hand with android operating system if you don’t having high end hardware specification you will not get smooth performance. You can face hanging problem with such kind of devices. So performance wise IOS can beat the Android operating system in all the way. Because of this plus point iPhone is my favorite smart phone so far. I hope android will come up with some good updates in their upcoming 5.0 update so that they can be better in performance wise.
Touch screen sensitivity: Well in touch screen phones, people always wants to have better touch screen sensitivity. Now if you compare this section with both android and IOS operating systems then IOS again will beat the android operating system. IOS devices having much more good touch screen sensitivity in compare of android devices. IOS is having very smooth touch response which android still didn’t able to get it. Android is still behind and following the IOS in this section. Let’s see if they able to get touch screen sensitivity like IOS in new upcoming android 5.0 ‘key lime pie’. So in the touch screen sensitivity IOS is the winner against the android operating system.
Bluetooth File transfer: I have to mention this option as in country like India this option is quite important for mobile users. People often used to exchange their data like music, photos and videos over Bluetooth. But sadly you will not get Bluetooth file transfer option in IOS operating system. That doesn’t mean IOS is not having Bluetooth facility. It is there but and you can connect your other Bluetooth devices like Bluetooth headset with your phone but you will not get file transfer mode even it is having Bluetooth. While with android operating system you don’t have to worry about this option. You will get this function in every android mobile phone if they having Bluetooth feature. So no problem related to Bluetooth in android operating system. Apple should have think about this important feature for sure, sharing such multimedia files among the phones is quite common thing.
Storage issue: So far IOS never got the option of SD card. All IOS devices are having hard disk as inbuilt memory in them but they never had SD card memory option, so you can’t store anything extra in IOS devices from the available space. This is really big disadvantage to the people who purchase iPhone with small storage like 8GB and 16GB. Because with these days multimedia files used to occupy very large size so having such limited memory can be disadvantage for you. On other hand your will found SD card option in android operating system in many devices. So you can increase the storage capacity. Let me tell you there are few android phones but which don’t having SD card option either, but that option has been removed from that mobile company, by default android operating system gives that option.
Easy in use: People always found IOS operating system little uncomfortable in use in compare of Android operating system. Honest I have never experienced anything like this but I have heard this thing from many people. I know why they are telling all these things. The main reason behind all these is IOS is missing mass storage function. That means you can’t copy paste your multimedia files and other files normally like you can do with most of the mobile phones. For putting multimedia and other files you need iTunes software in your pc (which itself not that simple in use). You need to synchronize your IOS operating system with help of this software and then only you can put those files in to your IOS device. So if you don’t having iTunes on any computer you can’t upload any of your files into your IOS device. But on other hand you will get mass storage option in android device so you can easily upload all your files into your android device. So maybe that’s why many people thinks that IOS is little uneasy in use in compare to Android. But for me, I think if you having iTunes on your phone and if you know its use properly than it is quite easy to put your multimedia files on your IOS device.
Virus related problems: As I mentioned above there is no mass storage option in the IOS device. I guess this is the reason why Apple hasn’t put this option in IOS operating system. Because they are missing this option in their operating system it is very rare case that they can face virus problem. And also apple is always famous for their virus free operating system in even PC section. So here you can say the same thing. In compare of IOS operating system you will experience more virus problems in android operating system overall. And because of that your android operating system can slow down for sure. So if you want to have virus free mobile phone you can go for IOS device without second thought.
Battery Comparison: In this section also IOS operating system will beat android operating system in all the way. You will found lots of people complaining battery status of android holders. In most of the cases phones with android operating system can’t stand for whole day. It drains battery really fast. While on other hand you will get decent battery life with the IOS device. If you have average use of mobile then IOS device can easily give you two days battery backup after full recharge. That’s what I am saying from my personal experience after using both operating systems. You can confirm this thing by surveying on the internet too and I am sure you will found the same results that with IOS you will get much more battery life in compare of android devices.
About apps and games: In this section I can give both operating systems same marks. Because both operating systems having their own app stores from where you can install lots of famous games and apps without any problem. You will not face any kind of compatibility issue on any of the operating systems. So in this section I can give same marks to both of the operating system. So both are quite famous and having lots of good collection of games and apps.
So this is it. I have compared almost all features of both operating systems. For me personally I enjoyed IOS more in compare of android operating system because my requirements are like that. I like to have phones which are better performance wise. But android OS have its own advantages too. So don’t listen to anyone. If you want to choose the best from these two then ask yourself what are your requirements. And go for one which is more suitable for you as per your requirement. Like this way you will get what you want and found best one as per your requirement. That’s what the right way of choosing. So go for the best and have fun.
