Every computer has its own name. Do you want to know the name of your computer?  Do you want to set your name or your wife’s name to your computer? How can you change the name of your computer? Where can do it? Let us see.

There is an icon named ‘My computer’ in desktop screen. Right click on the ‘My computer’ icon. There should appear a menu bar. In this menu bar click ‘properties’ section and go to the tab which is named as ‘Computer Name’. If you click on the ‘Computer Name’ tab there should appear a small window. In this window there is a box named ‘computer description’. Just opposite of that the details of your computer will be shown. If there is no description, you can give your own description.

 In the description section you can enter any name like ‘My office computer’ or ‘My kitchen computer’ etc.. But this is not your computer name. Below this there is a box named ‘Full computer Name’. If you want to change the computer name, click the ‘change’ button near the ‘Full computer Name’. Then there will appear a window. Type your computer name as like your thoughts and click ‘ok’ button. Now your computer name has been changed as you like.
