DATA COMMUNICATION

Communication means to convey a message, a picture, speech or an idea that is recived and under stood clearly and correctly by whom it is conveyed.

Data communication containing message, picture, and voice has taken the importance.

FACTORS TO BE CONSIDERED FOR DATA COMMUNICATION:

  1. The transmissiom should take place without error to the reciver.
  2. The transmission time  should be less.
  3. The cost of transmission over a large distance should be small.
  4. The message should be safe and secured.

CLASSIFICATION OF DATA COMMUNICATION

  1. Bi-directional
  2. Uni-directional

BI-DIRECTIONAL COMMUNICATION

Bi-directional communication means from source to destination and vice-versa .

EXAMPLE:

communication between computers is said to be bi-directionalcommunication.

UNI-DIRECTIONAL COMMUNICATION

In uni-directional transfer of data is from source to destinatio only

EXAMPLE:

The communication between tv center and television at homes
