Green plants prepare their own food

Plants and animals depend on each other. Green plants preparation own their food in the presence of sunlight, absorbing carbon dioxide and releasing oxygen by photosynthesis. Plants do not use all the food they prepare. They use a part of this food and the rest of it is stored in the plants. Human beings and animals eat the plants and use this as food.

Oxygen is very useful to us

Air, we breathe in, contains more oxygen and the air we breathe out, contains more carbon dioxide than oxygen. Green plants help us to maintain carbon dioxide and oxygen by plants and animals is called carbon-oxygen cycle.
