Our school strength is very big.
Our head master is a farmer son. His father was a great land lord.
A great garden is there in the behind of the school compound. There are many different of trees and plants growing. Color flowers and Vegetable items also will be there.
A big well is there that uses for drinking and for flowing water for the field. In there boy and girls are farmers. We work there in the time of agriculture period. We are very interesting in the garden work. Birds are flying on the fruit trees. To look very beautiful that garden.
Food for energy
Food is the prime necessity of life. We cannot live without food. In our country, people do not have enough food to eat. Population of the country goes on increasing. Every morning we have more mouths to feed. Sometimes, it so happens that we have no money to buy food even if it is available. The result is that a large number of our people are suffering from diseases which are the result of malnutrition. In order to meet the challenge of the `food problem’ of the country, we must grow more food like cereals, vegetables, fruits, milk, eggs fish, and meat etc.
School gardening
Gardening is delightful hobby. It can be ideally pursued in schools. Schools have a big compound and also there are many taps for water. A harmonious group of boys and girls may take to gardening. Lush green lawns and trees, beautiful surroundings with blossoming flowers not present a delightful look but also create a healthy atmosphere. A healthy atmosphere motivate to work.
A group of students, consisting of boys and girls, will first take up the cleaning of the school compound. They will clear off the weeds, remove the pebbles and thorns and then sweep the ground. After wards, they will start making flower beds. They will also add manure to earth in adequate quantity and then plant seedling etc. therein.
Another group of students will prepare beds both sides of the gravel path and stand rose cutting therein. They will also add fertilizers in adequate quantity and irrigate them with watering can. Apart from this, they will also sow seeds of many flowers like marigolds, pansy, dahlia etc. in flower pots.
In order to provide fencing of the compound, another group of students will plant hedge twigs all around its boundary. Near the office of the school, they will plant cuttings of bougainvillea.
Within a couple of months, the school compound will become a place of real garden full of flower and creepers and have a lush green hedge around it.
