Procedure:


Open a new document of any size and have the background color as # 1f2322.

  • Type a text (in this example, Text) Use,

Font- ‘Warnock Pro’ and Style-Regular

Size- 125pt and sharp effect.

Color - # d69328.

 

Type another text beside the above text in the same text layer but change the color while typing.

  • Type a text (in this example, Effect) Use,

Font- ‘Warnock Pro’ and Style-Regular

Size- 125pt and sharp effect.

Color - # 198b6e.

Name the above text layer as ‘Text-color’.

This is how it would look.

  • Create another copy of the above text layer using CTRL + J and name the layer as ‘Text-white’.

Select the Text and change the color of both the words to WHITE. Set the mode of this layer to ‘Overlay’.

  • (While selecting the white colored text layer) Now use the’ Rectangular marquee tool’ and set the feather to -10px and select the bottom half of the Text. After selection, DELETE the area so that the dark shade is visible.

This is how it would look.

  • Create another copy of this Text layer using CTRL + J and rasterize the layer by Right click and selecting the option, ‘Rasterize Type’.

Hide the original Text layer and use the Rasterized layer. Set the Blending options for this layer, by right click and select, blending options and set the Bevel options as follows.  The bevel will be most visible only for the top half.
