Courtesy Week
Courtesy week is observed by the BEST and some educational institutions. Though it is observed as courtesy week, the main purpose is to make people understand that politeness creates a better social and work environment. All harsh words that hurt are avoided. Each one greets the other cordially and cooperates.
The environment in the institution is peaceful as there is on shouting During the courtesy week, all the BEST conductors are expected to be kind and courteous to the passengers, and avoid being rude. Some of the BEST employees are rewarded for their courteous behavior. In the school, all the staff members and pupils are kind to one another.
In business houses and companies, sales and marketing staff and Public Relations Officers are trained to be polite and courteous. Politeness and courteous behavior are absolutely essential for attracting customers and satisfying them. When you go for shopping, you would have noticed that some sales personnel attract customers by their pleasing manners and courteous behavior, whereas others are less capable of promoting sales. Therefore politeness and courteousness are the basic qualities necessary for success in any field.

(3) If we observe salesmen at the sales counters of any big shop of departmental stores, we notice that some sales people are able to attract customers by their pleasing manners, politeness and courteous way, whereas others are not so effective.
