ARYABHATA
 

He was an Indian astronomer and mathematician. His important work is
ARYABHATIYA. He gave an accurate approximation for'pie' . The 1st
satellite is named as ARYABHATA for the honour of him.

 

BHASKARA


He was a famous mathematician of the 12 th centaury. He was also an
astrologer. His book is 'Leelavathi'

SREENIVASA RAMANUJAN
He born on December 22 in 1887 in Tamil nadu. He got a fellowship for
his higher education in Trinity in 1917. He was the 1 st Indian
elected to Royal Society of England. He e died at age 32.

CHARLES BABBAGE
He was born on December 26 1791 in London. He was a British
mathematician. He is known as the father of computer. He developed a
small calculator which can perform some computations to 8 decimals. He
died on 1817

CARL FRIEDRICH GAUSS

He is a German mathematician. He pioneered the application of
mathematics to the gravitation, electricity, and magnetism

SIR ISAAC NEWT0N
He was a great physicist and mathematician. He was born on January 4
1643 in England. He built first reflecting telescope. His famous book
is 'PRINCIPIA MATHEMATICA'. He described the theory of gravitational,
laws of motion, tidal theory. He was the president of the Royal
Society. He died on 1827.


JOHN NAPIER
He has born in 1550 in Scotland. He was a famous mathematician. He
developed the concept of logarithm. He died on 1617.
