Radio's Forgotten Education
Life-long education (long life) and did not know the end. Every human being needs the opportunity to continue learning in order to remain able to adapt to the realities and demands of the ever-changing life. Human beings still need education to make it out (to know), to learn (to learn), to make it (to be) and can live together in society (to live together). The dynamics of life can be lived only proper if every man in the community can continue to access the opportunity to learn.

Engineering with ICT is expected to encourage the growth of the community learning (learning society) are intelligent, critical and adaptive in motion life lived.
There is one ICT-based media that may be overlooked by them and do not care about education. Media is meant is the radio. Some people argue that the radio looks old-fashioned, outdated and so on. Media is now starting to decline his role with the latest technologies, has forgotten his role as the man was still on the previous civilization. This dilemma indisputable fact by fact in the field. Based on monitoring and evaluation utilization of ICT for education in 2008 which made Pustekkom Education Ministry, stated that the use of ICT for public information and education, the percentage utilization of the radio show's second highest after the use of computers. This fact should be a reference for policy makers we must not forget the role and function of the radio. Furthermore according to the historical experience since World War II, the radio has a significant role, and has the power as an instrument of political education.
Educational radio is a radio communication that is used as a means of education and teaching. Media is in addition to improving teachers' skills in teaching and mastery of teaching materials, also provide an opportunity to achieve the learning standards. Realizing the benefits of radio broadcasts that can reach all the community more effectively and efficiently, the media needs to be re-developed. This is considering the condition of Indonesian society that has a background very different life. They come from different economic backgrounds, living in various geographic regions, has a very diverse culture, pursue different professions and various other differences. In the background the radio can answer the needs of the education community to gain access variable values in education.
