Religion is one of the most important thing in the world.Each country have many religions,ecspecially indian is filled with more number of religions.Here i listed out some religions in the world and its informations.
1.Buddhism :
The founder of Buddhism is Gautam Siddhartha Buddha who was born in Nepal.It was founded in the year 525 BC.This religion was followed in many countries like India,China,Tibet,Korea,Mongolia,Nepal,Bhutan,Thailand,Japan,Laos,Myanmar(Burma), Sri Lanka,Cambodia,Taiwan,Indonesia,Bhutan and Vietnam.The Sacred Text of this religion is "The Tripitaka (Collection of Buddha’s teaching)" also called as "Sutras".The Place of workship is Vihar(temple) and monastery (where monks reside).
2.Confucianism :
The founder of Confucianism is King Fu Tsu,Confucianism also known as Confucius and it was born in the state of LU in china.This religion was Founded in the year 500 BC.This religion was followed in many countries like China,Taiwan,South Korea,Nauru and Vietnam.The Sacred Text of this religion is "The Analects".The Sacred place of this religion is No church or temple.
3.Christianity :
The founder of Christianity is Jesus Christ.It was born in the place of Judea, Christianity is also called Jesus of Nazareth.This religion was Founded in in 2000 years ago.This religion was followed in many countries like all over the world.The Sacred text of this religion is "Holy Bible" consisting of Old Testament(before Christ) and the New Testament (during and after Christ).The Sacred Places is Jerusalem where Christ lived and preached.The place of Worship Church.
4.Hinduism :
The founder of Hinduism is Ancient Sages .This religion was founded in around 1500 BC .This religion was followed in many countries like India and Nepal and also found in Bhutan,Fiji,Guyana,ndonesia,Mauritius,Sri Lanka,South Africa,Surinam,Trinidad and Tobago .The Sacred text was "the Vedas, the Upanishads, the Bhagavad-Gita" and the epics of the "Mahabharata and the Ramayana".The Place of Worship is Temple.
5.Islam :
The founder of Islam is Prophet Mohammed (AD 570-632) and born in Mecca (Saudi Arabia).This religion was founded in the year AD 622.This religion was followed in many countries from west coast of Africa to the Philippines which includes Tanzania,Southern part of Russia and China,India,Pakistan,Bangladesh,Malaysia and Indonesia. Also parts of North Africa.The Sacred text is "Quran (words of God), Hadis (Collection of Prophet’s saying)".The Sacred Places is Makkah (mecca) in Saudi Arabia.The Place of Worship is Masjid (mosque).
6.Judaism (Religion of the Hebrews) :
The founder ofJudaism is Moses.It was founded in 1300 BC.This religion was followed in Worldwide with concentration in Israel and United States.The Sacred text is Talmads,found particularly in the five books of "the Bible"; commentary on Torah known as Talmud and Midrash.The Sacred Places is Jerusalem.The Place of Worship is Synagogue.
7.Shintoism :
The founder of Shintoism is Began with Japanese culture and developed out of tradition and ancestor worship.This religion was followed in the contry in Japan.The Sacred text for this religion is No specific text.The Sacred Places is Central Shrine of Ise (central Japan) and the Yasukuni Shrine in Tokyo.
8.Sikhism :
The founder of Sikhism is Guru Nanak (1469-1539).It was founded in the year of AD 1500.This religion was followed in the country in India.The Sacred text is "Shri Guru Granth Sahib".The Sacred Places is The Golden Temple of Amritsar.The Place of Worship is Gurudwara.
9.Taoism :
The founder of Taoism is Lao-tse,a Chinese Philosopher.It was founded in the year of 6th century BC.This religion was followed in the countries like China, Taiwan, Nauru, Brunei, Singapore and Vietnam.The Sacred text is "Tao-te-Ching".
10.Zoroastrianism (Parsi Religion) :
The founder Zoroastrianism is Zoroaste.It was founded in around 500 BC.This religion was followed in the countries of Iran and north-west India.The Zoroastrians who fled to India during the eighth century are the ancestors of the present Parsi Community in India.The Sacred Text is "Zend Avasta".The Place of Worship is Fire temple.
