Something about English and Japanese language
Each language have specific sounds. For example, in Japanese we can't find any V or L sound. In English they don't have some sounds like Portuguese (and in Portuguese we don't have the TH sound). So people tend to 'approximate' the sound they hear to one existing sound in their own language, that's how DOAA is Door when a Japanese speaker uses English. We are different. And each language has its charm.
I deal with languages people don't know and don't understand and they say exactly the same as you're saying about Japanese. The point is that the language I interpreted and Japanese are similar. I really like Japanese, just as I like English and my mother language.
But my point here is saying that a Language, any language, has it's cultural side. You can't change a language just because it doesn't fit into your understanding. It's a language, people use that, understand that and love that just as we love our language. That's what have me hooked when talking about language. It's how we can be so different and so alike all the same. Languages, even if they don't make sense to us are rich, have rules and patterns and deserve to be appreciated and accepted.
