Homonyms
There are certain words in English language that sound similar but have different meanings.People get confused as to which word to use and at what context. Below are some of such words with their meanings.
Advice - Advise
# Advice means a suggestion or guidance
Example: I disliked his foolish advice.

Dose - Doze.

Example: He takes a dose of medicine daily.
# Doze is to sleep slightly.
Example: She doesn't doze in the afetrnoon.
Quite - Quiet.
# Quite means completely
Example : He is quite happy with his new job.
# Quiet means calm
Example: I found the auditorium quiet and soundless.
Ryot - Riot
# Ryot means farmer
Example: His father is a ryot.
# Riot means an uproar.
Example: There are several riots in India.
Canon - Cannon
# Canon means a rule or principle.
Example: We should respect the canons of morality.
# Cannon means a heavy gun.
Example: The soldiers fired the cannons at the enemy.
Caracass - Corpse
# Caracass means the dead body of an animal.
Example: I found the caracass of a cow on the road.
# Corpse means the dead body of a human being.
Example: The corpse of the rich man was carried to the burial ground in a van.
Diseased - Deceased
# Diseased means being sick.
Example: She is completely diseased.
# Deceased refers to a dead person.
Example: The deceased policeman was survived by his wife and two sons.
Ingenious - Ingenuous
# Ingenious means clever.
Example: Mr.Ram has an ingenious ability of teaching.
# Ingenuous means being frank and innocent.
Example: The little boy was so ingenuous .
