The Ugly Truth - movie review
Genre: The Ugly Truth is supposed to be a romantic comedy movie.
Certification: The movie is strictly for adults mainly due to adult language and brief nudity.
Cast: The movie revolves around three main characters, namely Abby Richter played by Katherine Heigl, popular for her role in television series Grey's Anatomy, Mike Chadway played by Gerard Butler famous after the movie '300' and Colin played by Eric Winter.

Plot: Katherine is the director of a television program. Her show is not doing well and ends up teaming with Gerard. Gerard is a self proclaimed Guru of relationship. Katherine does not like Gerard because his views on male and female gender is opposite of her views. While they have their little arguments Katherine happens to meet Eric who seems like the man of her dreams. Does Katherine find the right man in Eric or was Gerard right about relations and men is what you find at the end of the movie. The movie is a sort of romantic comedy.
Although the movie was intended to be comedy, there are hardly any funny moments. At the best some scenes may make you smile. Most of the humor in the movie is adult based. There are plenty of dialogue intended towards adults. The movie also has scenes involving nudity. However it’s the dialogues which really make the movie for adult audience. The romance part of the movie is also confusing. Don’t expect to find any truth about men or women from Gerard. Apply his ideas in real life at your own risk.
Overall there is not much comedy or romance in the movie. However the movie tends to keep you involved and before you know it the movie ends. Hence the rating of 5 out of 10.
