Her Early life:

• She was born on May 4^th, 1983.

• She was born to Krishnan and Uma Krishnan, in Palakkad, Kerala.

• In School days, she participated in several cultural activities, sports and school band.

• She studied at Sacred Heart Church Park School, in Madras.

• She got her higher education in Ethiraj College, Chennai.

• She started her career as a model, appearing in many TV advertisements including that of Fair and Lovely and Josco Jeweler.

• She also starred in Falguni Pathak’s music album Meri Chunar Ud Ud Jaye.

Her Film Career:

• Trisha Krishnan first made her debut in a film called Jodi in which Prasanth and Simran are the lead. In that film she was offered a small cameo in the film Jodi.

• The first movie in which she acted in a lead role opposite shyam was Priyadarshan’s Leysa Leysa. But this film did not do well at the box office.

• After that, she acted in two films i.e., Manasellam and Alai. But these two films bombs at the box office. A string of flops marked the beginning of her career.

• After continuous flops in her carrier, She got an offer in ameer film. In that film she was well suited for her role opposite Surya in Mounam Pesiyadhe and she was appreciated. This film became a hit at the box office.

• She then played opposite with Vikram  in the film Saamy. It was a blockbuster in the year 2003.

• The next huge film she acted in which was Ghilli with Vijay, which was a remake of Telugu blockbuster Okkadu. This film created a record at the box office and it was a turning point for Trisha in her carrier in Tamil film industry.

• Afterwards, She starred in Varsham in Telugu which went on to become the biggest hit of the year and turned her into an overnight sensation in Telugu film industry. This film was her first film in Tollywood.

• In 2005, she starred with Siddharth Narayan in the Telugu flick Nuvvostanante Nenoddantana. In this film, her character was a village girl named Siri. The movie is about a rich boy, who tries to marry a girl – however her brother opposes. This film is directed by Prabhu Deva, which became a biggest hit at the box office, and Trisha won two awards for the film which include the Filmfare Award and Nandi Award.

• She appeared in famous director Mani Ratnam’s Aayutha Ezhuthu. This movie stars Siddharth Narayan, Madhavan and Surya. But it was a flop.

• Her later movies, Ji, Aathi and Aaru did not do well at the box office.

• Her 2006 Telugu movie, Pournami, directed by Prabhu Deva, was a flop. However, another film in 2006 was Unnakum Ennakum, where Trisha acted opposite Jayam Ravi, did well at the box office. Unnakum Ennakum is a remake of the Telugu movie, Nuvvostanante Nenoddantana where she plays the same role.

• Her Telugu film Sainikudu with Mahesh Babu was released on November 30, 2006. The expectations for this movie was very high after the smashing hit Pokiri, but this high budget film smashed at the box office.

• Her next release after Sainikudu was Aadavari Matalaku Ardhalu Verule where she acted opposite Venkatesh. This film was Selvaraghavan’s first film in Telugu. The film released on April 27, 2007. The film is a family entertainer and received good response especially from the family audience. Trisha’s performance is one of the highlights of the movie.

• She acted in Kireedam with Ajith. She tried comedy and received good reviews. Kireedom opened with high expectations and received good reviews from media and audience.

• Her 2008 films, Bheema and Kuruvi failed to succeed at the box-office.

• Her later film Krishna with Ravi Teja was a huge hit. Her other movie Bujjigadu starring Prabhas, directed by Puri Jagannadh was released during Summer and made a decent run.

• Her next film was Radhamohan’s Abhiyum Naanum. She was appreciated for her performance in that movie. Sarvam with Arya did not do well at the box office.

• Her next film was King with Nagarjuna and it was an average grosser at the box office.

• Trisha is a Brand Ambassador of Fanta India, Scooty Pep+, Perk Chocolate, Fiama Di Wills, a product by ITC.
