The temperature outside is speeding towards 50 degrees and we are almost getting burnt by the heat waves across the country. The music heard almost throughout the day from most houses is the humming sound of coolers and air-conditioners. They can keep you cool outside. But what about the more valuable "Inside"? It is very important to keep our body hydrated, since the reduction of body fluids leads to many symptomatic diseases . So , here are some quintessential food stuffs that will help you eat this summer out.
If you are a "I-don't-eat-anything-raw" type,then it is the time to rethink. Apart from providing you a cool internal environment, they help you keep your enemy named "Ageing" at bay(of course,for some time) with their rich supply of anti-oxidants.Also,there are numerous taste varieties possible with permutation and combination of all the commonly used salad veggies. also, in this age of instant recipes, you can fix your own salad within no time, if you have a good supply of following veggies and salad dressing stuffs.
- Broccoli, Cauliflower

Raw onion helps reducing body heat.It is a stimulating food .It has diuretic properties,since it is rich in potassium and low in sodium. Almost 90% of onion is filled with water,yes, exactly what we want now.So try to include more and more onions in your dishes,preferably raw.
Yogurt is made by fermenting milk by good bacteria. Since it is a diary product,obviously it is rich in calcium and protein. You can have it as it is or with fruits or salads. Here is a quick recipe for you,which i read in a daily and is really worth trying.
- 2 Juicy Mango
- 200 gms of yogurt
- 100 gms of sugar
- Ice Cream spoons(wooden)
- Paper cups
Blend the first three ingredients in your blender well. Fill 3/4th of the paper cups with the mix. Place the spoons in the mix as it would be in a lollipop. Place the cups in the freezer for at least 6 hours. Tear off the paper cups and Voila!! Yes, its that simple.
