Summer and behavior related manias

Summers bring kind of changes in our body chemicals, which affect our working capacity to great extent. These chemicals are also responsible for our behavior changes that show in form of excessive or boasting ways of talks. The fact is it is not due to behavior problem but some people develop kind of mania in summers due to chemical changes, the cases are not high in quantity but neither too rare. You can find such people around you in your workplace or colonies. Summer is also one of the main reasons of increasing patients of anxiety.

Summer effects 

In fact, summer increases working capacity and productivity but reduces quality of work and people suffering from summer mania can be seen speaking more than they normally do or their volume and speed of speaking increases abnormally faster. They start boasting too much as if capable of every work in the world or as if every work is possible for them. They suddenly begin something in odd night hours that must normally carried out in day hours feeling that they are finishing an important work. They do not like to be interrupted or can go to the extent of fist fighting if someone tries to interrupt them or correct them.

Reasons of summer mania 

The main reason for abnormal behavior of summer mania is increase of dopamine chemical, which is associated directly with summer, as the name would suggest, ninety percent patients become too hyperactive. Patients suffering from summer mania cannot stand any arguments therefore it is advisable to avoid crossing them and there is another fact that such patients never agree to the fact that they are suffering from any problem and turndown advices of meeting a physiatrist or taking any medicines, which is only treatment for their problem.

Symptoms

Generally, the increase of anxiety level causes suffocation, stomach disorder, dry mouth etc and suffers from crowd syndrome, avoiding use of lifts, fear of heights, increase of negative thoughts and approach. The problem increases as much the humidity increases reducing their work capacity but never accept it and as I said arguments make things worse with them. 

1- Patients of summer mania feel sad, loneliness and depressed

2- They feel pessimistic and show that the world is not treating them well but try to underrate everyone.

3- They feel ashamed, guilty conscious, feeling of uselessness and helplessness

4- Lack of energy and tiredness

5- Stressed, sleepless nights, lack of concatenation, forgetfulness, not able to take decisions 

6- Too hungry or lack of appetite, no hungry at all

7- Tendency of suicide or weep without reasons

8- Body ache, indigestion, stomach disorder or irregular bowl syndromes       

Precaution and remedies

Meditation and morning walk, normal healthy diet with lesser spices, lot of vegetables and fruits, and enough consumption of water, juices and proper sleep can keep patients suffering from summer mania under control. But, as I said earlier that most patients never agree that, they are suffering from any mental or physiological problem therefore hard to make them understand. The only way you can help them is try to persuade them to involve them in such activities in a friendly way participating with them in exercising, walks etc. 

1- It is hard to motivate patients suffering with maniac problems however, if you can persuade them to finish their work within time limit that helps

2- They should avoid overworking but within their limit and according to their capacity

3- See that they do not work in a mechanical way but relax in between their working time also they should add few mood freshening habits in their work-schedule

4- They must enjoy their hobbies, read books, movies, songs or dance whatever they like to stay relaxed

5- Yoga, meditation, walks, outings with family and friends helps to great extent

6- A quality sleep is must

7- Water plays a vital role, drinking enough water helps patients suffering from summer mania

8- Try to avoid comparison that may irritate such people and make them aggressive  

Conclusion

If you feel that anyone in your relation, office or locality has symptoms of summer mania, it’s better to avoid an argument with him or make him lightly if he talks to you in a manner of ‘know it all’ or ‘capable of all’. Because the person may or may not recover from his problems but you certainly have chances to loose your cool if you take him seriously.
