One cup jaggery (or more depending on preference)

2-3 teaspoons of red chilli powder.

Salt as per taste.

Two pinches of asafoetida powder.

Method:

1.  Steam the lemon pieces in pressure cooker for 5-6 minutes, remove and let it cool.

2.  Mix lemon, orange and jaggery with salt and make fine paste in the mixer.

3.  Remove in a heavy-bottomed pan and add chilli powder and asafoetida and cook slowly on fire   until the mixture thickens slightly. Cool and store in a glass jar.

This sauce looks and tastes delicious and can be used with chapatis, parathas or can even be spread on sandwiches. They can be served with a variety of snacks such as samosas and kachoris!
