food_allergySometimes it happens that we can not take some dishes due to allergy although we are very much fond of that dish.

 

Food allergy is nothing but abnormal response when a certain type of food is absorbed. A special type of response from the immune system warns us not to take such food items in future. Different types of allergy have different characteristics, symptoms. The reaction due to allergy from the immune system begins within few minutes from absorbing the item. The severity varies from one person to another. Sometimes it may bring unnatural death too.

 

 

There are some common characteristics of allergy as follows:

 

Irritation in skin, nausea, vomiting, indigestion, stomach cramps, diarrhea. Not only these very often allergy causes asthma, wheezing and cough. Rhinitis, itchy runny nose and sneezing may follow thereafter.

 

Anaphylaxis which is life threatening is caused due to Allergy. Although most of the times food items are behind allergy there are some items also which are responsible for precipitating allergy. These common items are:

 

  • Cow's milk
  •  
  • Eggs
  •  
  • Cereals like wheat, oat, rice, rye etc.
  •  
  • Nuts i.e. peanuts, walnuts, almonds and some other nuts that have harder shells
  •  
  • Barley
  •  
  • Soya bins etc.

 

The best thing to avoid allergy is to avoid some dishes that may cause allergy to someone. These are as follows:

 

  • Soy formulas, milk of goat, cheese, instant mashed potatoes, ice cream, sour cream, yogurt.
  •  
  • French toast, cake, pancakes, puddings, cookies, creamy salads, preparations of eggs, pasta etc sometimes brings trouble.
  •  
  • Some people are allergic to candies, different types of oil, baked products, refined flour, gluten etc.

 

One important thing should be kept in mind that if one is allergic to a kind of food he/she may be allergic too to the related items of that particular food. Likewise, if a person is allergic to cheese he/she may have allergy to any derivatives of milk.

 

Everybody must be aware of the food that causes allergy. So avoidance of such food is a good solution to get rid of allergy. But most of the times it happens that a small quantity of food that causes allergy remains within a very common dish. Then it is very hard to avoid such food. So there should be proper diagnostics of expert for making a diet.

 

Healthy dishes increase the immunity power of the body. If the immunity power gets incremented allergy is tolerated to some extent

.

But last of all it may be advised to avoid allergic foods as much as possible.
