Cilantro Shrimp.

This is a very quick and simple recipe. It has very basic and simple ingredients but a delectable result. Enjoy.

Ingredients:-

½ to ¾ bunch of dhaniya/cilantro/coriander leaves

2-3 green chillies to taste

7-8 cloves of garlic

1 tennis ball size tamarind or ½ tspn tamarind concentrate

10-15 shrimps(medium sized)

½ tspn of turmeric

1-2 tspn of red chilli powder as per taste

1 tbspn oil

Salt to taste

Directions:-

1)      Wash and de-vein the shrimp.

2)      Soak the tamarind ball to get about ½ cup of tamarind paste. If you plan to use tamarind concentrate you may skip this step.

3)      Marinate the shrimp with salt, turmeric and chili powder and leave aside for 10-15 minutes.

4)      Grind the cilantro, chilliest and 5 cloves of garlic to form a thick paste

5)      Take a pan and heat up the oil in it.

6)      Crush the 2-3 cloves of garlic that was left and toss them in to the pan.

7)      Before the garlic starts browning add the paste and give it a quick stir.

8)      Let the paste cook in for 5-7 minutes before you add in the tamarind paste.

9)      Once the masala is ready, add in your marinated prawns/shrimps and let it cook in there till they turn pink and are well-coated with this maslaa.

10)  Once done enjoy it with bread/pav, roti or dal-rice.
