We all know that kurma goes well with puri,chapathis and some rice dishes.Here I would like to share a kurma recipe made of soya meal maker.

Soya Meal Maker Kurma

Ingredients

Meal maker                - 100 gm
Onion                         -1
Tomato                       -1
Ginger garlic paste    - 1/2 tea spoon
Jeera seeds              -1/2 tea spoon
Saunf                        -1/4 tea spoon
Kas-Kas                   - 1 table spoon
Green chillies            -3
Pudina leaves           - 2 tea spoon
Corriander leaves     - 1 tea spoon
Curry leaves             -as required for tempering
Coriander powder    - 1 tea spoon
Garam masala powder - 1 tea spoon
Coconut(scrapped)      - 2-3 tea spoon
Salt                              - as required
Oil                                - as required

Method of Preparation

1.Soak the soya meal maker in a vessel of hot water for 30 minutes.

2.After half and hour, remove the soya meal maker from the water and squeeze it well.

3.Cut the Onion length wise and the tomatoes in to small pieces.

4.Heat 2 tea spoons of oil in a kadai and saute the jeera seeds,kas-kas,pudina leaves and scrapped coconut.

5.Grind it well with water to get a fine paste.

6.Heat oil in a kadai and add the saunf and the curry leaves to it.Let it splutter.

7.Add the ginger garlic paste and saute it for a minute.

8.Add the Onions and saute it well until it becomes golden brown.

9.Add tomatoes and allow it to cook for 5-7 minutes.

10.Add the coriander powder,cut green chillies and garam masala powder to it and saute it well for 5-6 minutes.

11.Finally add the meal maker and the required amount of water and add the(jeera seeds,pudina,kas-kas,scrapped coconut)mixture to it.

12.Add water as per the consistency desired.

13.Once the kurma boils,add the required salt and the chopped coriander leaves to it.

14.It will usually take 20 minutes to prepare the kurma.

15.Now the delicious "Soy meal maker Kurma" is ready to serve with puris or chapathis.
