Sabudana halwa / Saggubiyyam halwa 

 

Ingredients:

Sabudana / saggu biyam – 1Cup

Chopped jaggery – 4 cups

Elachi powder – 1 Spoon

Ghee – 2 Cups

Kaju – 20 (fried)

Preparation of SagguBiyyam halwa / Sabudana halwa 

1.Soak sabudana / saggu biyyam in water.

2.Now make it into paste by using mixy.

3.Then place a bowl on the stove, add chopped jaggery and some water.

4.Let the jaggery melts completely and it form a jaggery syrup.

5.Then add sabudana paste in it.

6.Add ghee in it so that sabudana paste does not form any lumps in the mixture.

7.So mix them finely

8.When the mixer gets thicken, then add elachi powder and kaju in it.

9.Then off the flame.

10.Now take a plate and apply ghee to it.

11.Then pour the mixture in this ghee applied plate.

12.When the mixture is bit hot then only cut it into your desired shapes.

13.Therefore, Sabudana halwa / saggubiyam halwa is ready.

Sabudana means everyone know about the kheer and papad which you prepare with it. But you may not expect that we can even prepare a dessert with it and with a simple process. There is no need to do any hard work to prepare this. You can store this dessert for one week. When you keep a piece of this dessert in your mouth, automatically it starts melting.
