A stuffy, congested nose can be very stressful. The best cures for common colds have been the natural way. Drink plenty of liquids, lots of rest, some home made soup, and lots of TLC. Herbal teas, essential oils, and plenty of Vitamin C are all important to getting back to your old self again.

Suggested Tips are:-

1. Drink lots of liquids, warm teas, orange juice, lots of vitamin C drinks and plenty of water. A gallon would do. The teas that are most effective are herbal teas such as, Chamomile, Spearmint, Peppermint, and Jasmine.

2. Take vitamins, plenty of Vitamin C, electrolytes for dehydration, Grapeseed extract to build your immunity and multiple vitamins.

3. Eat soups, broths, oatmeal or cream of wheat, eat light!

4. Try essential oils such as peppermint and eucalyptus (2 drops each) with a tablespoon of olive oil and rub on your chest and abodomen, it is better than Vicks and healthier for you. Do this at night when its difficult to sleep and put a few drops on a towel to inhale. It will relieve sinus congestion and fever. Close your eyes when you do this. It has a strong smell.

5. Before going to bed drink a cup of warm lemonade with freshly squeezed lemon or lime and add a natural sweetner such as, honey or maple syrup.

6. Listen to soft music, visualize or have yellow and orange around you to brighten your day and soothe your mind. Color therapy is crucial to positive thinking and health. You will nurture your child within, and heal your abdomen and solar plexus area.

7. Of course, plenty of rest! If your sinus congestion is terrible, add a few drops of sea salt to 1/4 cup of warm spring water or distilled water and add two drops to each nose.   Using a syringe is best.  It will clear your sinuses.

8.  Have an air freshener such as orange, lemon, or grapefruit.  Eliminate odors and bacterias by spraying often especially in your closets, clothing, rooms and bathrooms.

9.  Try using a cloth instead of tissue, so your nose wont irritate.
