Class 10 pass a `doctor' .
INCIDENT BEFORE 2 YEARS:
I was shocked to see this news on news paper before 2 years. Long time i had a wish to write article on this, finally i did it here.Sanjit kumar, who was popularly called as "Doctor Babu" among his friends, who was actually a duty attendant who have studied till class 10.
Though it sounds funny, there are some serious issues behind it. let me bring those, This incident reminds me the thought "INCREDIBLE INDIA"
LAME REASONS:
When media questioned the chief medical officer, he answered nothing wrong in it. some people even accepted it by saying that "He only prescribes and gives medicines for common diseases like diarrhoea and fever" still there should be minimum basic qualification for the same else all road side baba's will line up to open their chemist shop citing this example.
One wrong dose and the life of the patient will be ruined forever.They are people, who do not know how to differentiate someone calling a doctor or a health worker.Well then it's the public administrations [government] duty to get hold of the situation and set thing's right so that no such cases becomes a example for fake's to take advantage of the innocent.It is the faulty administration which fails to cater the health needs of our society.
You must be knowing that the status of Public health (system as well as infrastructure) in India is one of the worst in many a places especially when it comes to eastern part.True our MP's and MLA's have no remorse when become the cause for losses in crores on per day basis to the government and inturn the poor tax payer's when they go on hartal[strikes], adjournment of the houses on silly Issues the looses which can equally be used for such causes, but then these are the side effects of democracy where the ruler's take's the voter's for granted.No it's not passing the entire blame on the government for every damm Issues and sidelining our resposibility but such dealing are the responsibilty of any democratically elected government because only they have the power for changing the dealing citizens can just protest or highlight.
MEDICAL SYSTEM IN FORIEGN COUNTRIES:
The documentary by Micheal moore called "Sicko" brings out a classic connection of ruler's and their hold over normal citizen's in the documentary he was comparing the health service of US Vs Europe and canada as you may be knowing in europe and canada the state pay's for health bills of it's citizen where as in US it's citizen has to cough off his entire bills.India need's to follow the europe model for health care rather then letting it be modelled which are government by topnotch doctors and those aligned with pharmaceutical gaints.
These days World Health Organisation has been advocating inclusion of these health-care workers (all levels), traditional healers as well as religious leaders to work in a collaboration so that the public gets better treatment.
We should try to avoid personal remarks. By the way everyone in India is a "doctor". Just cough twice in your home or while in a train, you are likely to get atleast three advices on medication.To update you, Swami Ramdeo teaches Yog and the Ayurvedic medicine that he says about are from his experiences and the qualified professionals in Ayurved.

If you have you two options:
1. To get treated by a "practitioner" available to you in the remote village having no doctor/trained nurse in cases of diarrhoea.The practitioner treats you for 20 Rs.
2. To visit a doctor in the far city where you have to be in a queue and have to pay hundred(s) bucks. Plus the transportation costs plus status quo during the transportation.
Which one would you chose.
People preach the population to be treated only by a qualified medical practitioners because they have not seen the ground reality as to why are these "jhola chhap practitioners" orshiped.qualified doctors in other countries like aussies are deputed by the governmentt to rural areas to provide their high-end services there.
which is not the thing in 3rd world nations like INDIA. what would the doctors do if the same rule will be brought here? if they strive for money, which the government could not provide, is it the fault of our economy? but it costs the lives of people.
Human life should not be taken for granted at any cost even though the "doctor" is serving people with his best capability,still basic qualification as a doctor is must.
