As a human being requires food , clothing and shelter he also requires sleep . Sleep forms daily part of a human being life. Sleeping is very much important for mainitaining mental and physical health. It plays a important role and influences the mind and body both. Sleeping daily 7 to 8 hours is must. People sleeping less than 7 to 8 hours  might not be healthy as much as people sleeping daily 7 to 8hours. Lack of sleep can cause lot of health problems and one should avoid it. Lack of sleep can cause problems like depression , affect weight and also cause other harmful problems.

Some of the health problems due to lack of sleep

1.Obesity- It has been observed that people who sleep less than 7 to 8 hours a day are more likely to be obese than the people who take proper sleep.

2. Diabetes - Diabetes is not only caused due to obesity or eating of lot of sugar its also caused due to lack of sleep. Sleep affects the process of the body. It affects the process of how the body processes sugar.

3. Depression -  Lack of sleep affects the mind and thinking and leads to depression

Lack of sleep on continous basis can also lead to harmful diseases like heart disease, infection etc

Taking proper sleep helps to stay fit and stay more energetic in life and enjoy it. Millions of people suffer from problem of lack of sleep or cant sleep much due to their busy schedules. One need to find proper ways to over come such problems as proper sleep is necessary. Sleep is very much important for students and those who indulge in work in which one needs to think a lot. After lot of thinking brain also needs rest to start working again .

There are lot of reasons because of which one doesnt get proper sleep. Some of them are as follows

1. Environment at home - The environment of your bed room may affect your sleep. Too much darkness or sound of tv at night can affect your sleep. If your family consists of lots of members than that also can be disturbing.

2. Health problems - One may also not get sleep at night due to health problems.

3. Stress on mind - If you are worried or having stress due to some reasons than you cant get proper sleep.

Thus there are various reasons which avoids you from sleeping and its hard to over come them . One need to change his habits, behaviour and complete life style. A proper sleep leads to proper health , increases the thinking capability , make you active and leads to overall development of a person's life.
