Any person can come across depression at any stage of life. Feeling loneliness and bored is part of everyone’s life. It is quite normal that people become sad at crucial times when something hurts them. Though natural, it can lead to complications if the sadness continues for a long time. Depression could be even fatal.

Here are five steps to arrest depression.

1. Get more Light and Sunshine.

If a person is not exposed to sunlight, then it could lead to the secretion of melatonin hormone, which is known to trigger a dispirited mood. The hormone is known to lower the temperature of the body and makes one feel sluggish. It is always better to have some walk outside during the morning or in the evening.

2. Get involved

Always be engaged and get involved in things that you like. Once you are involved, you will not feel lonely. Playing the games that you like, watching your favourite movies, listening to the thrilling songs and music, reading books and talking to your friends or family are some of the ways that can keep you always engaged.

3) Take a Break.

Do not crunch in front of the computer or huddle in your office chair or at home as it could lead to boredom and depression. After a long work schedule, one should have to take some rest to relive his nerves. Listen to music or go for a walk that could relax your nerves.

4) Eat Right and Stay Fit.

Eating habits could also be a cause of your depression. Always eat healthy, which means that you have to include more vegetables and fruits in your diet. Always go for a balanced diet that contains all nutrients and vitamins. It is better to avoid fatty foods and sugar. It is better not to take alcohol as it is a known depressant. Most of the people drink alcohol to get relief from their problems, but te reality is tat it could only augment the problems.
